Why I’m Hiking

About 5 million steps …
Through mountains, storms, blisters, and breathtaking views.
But this hike is about more than miles.
I’m dedicating every single step to Gracehaven walking to raise awareness and support for the incredible work they do for young women and children in need.
“5 Million Steps for Gracehaven” is my commitment to turn each mile into purpose. Every uphill climb will represent strength. Every sunrise will represent Hope.
Every step will represent someone who deserves safety, support, and a fresh start.

My heart is with the kids at Gracehaven — kids who have been sex-trafficked, hurt, and abandoned in ways no child should ever face. Yet, when they walk through Gracehaven’s doors, something incredible happens. They are met with love. Real love. The kind that says, "You are safe now." You are valued. You are worth fighting for. Gracehaven doesn’t just take these kids in—they wrap them in compassion and help them rebuild their lives piece by piece.
As a society we need to be able to recognize the signs. GraceHaven continuously tries to educate businesses, groups and schools on the signs of child sex trafficking.

Every Donation Matters $100 provides one specialized counseling session for a survivor.
$500 provides one week of one-to-one support for a survivor.
$1,250 allocates prevention and education training for 500 middle schoolers.
$1,800 delivers intervention training to 300 community professionals (nurses, school counselors/ teachers/social workers) so they can identify children who need to be rescued from sex-trafficking.
$3,500 provides two weeks of safe, residential care for one survivor.
